Chris and I made it into New Orleans right on time this afternoon after a bumpy ride from Charlotte, NC. We left 8 inches of snow at home and were welcomed with 4 inches of rain here. We are officially in a flood watch here, but are safe and sound at Bill and Carolyn's. Bill went out tonight to pick up supper, and was back in 10 minutes, happy he didn't get stranded in the standing water on the road. We enjoyed tacos here - thanks Carolyn!
Gena, Bonnie and Lonnie are just about to their stopping point for the night and are in good spirits, and ready to keep on driving tomorrow. Eric and Dan are in the French Quarter waiting for their food, about 4 blocks from their hotel. We're hoping to meet up with them sometime tomorrow...
