This is a photo I got from my friend Doug's parents who built their retirement home in Waveland MS in 1999. This is a picture of what used to be their neighborhood in Waveland after Katrina. They never rebuilt and now live in TX, and they were "lucky" that they had good flood, wind, etc insurance. And were also not there when the hurricaine hit!
